Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs San Francisco 49ers - Week 6 NFL Betting Picks and Predictions.

A potential NFC playoff preview is set to go down in Tampa Bay this Sunday, as two 4-1 division leaders, the San Francisco 49ers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, get ready to clash. Both squads have been impressive, finding ways to win close games despite dealing with a rash of injuries.

The Niners' biggest question mark is under center. Starting quarterback Brock Purdy is nursing a toe injury and hasn't practiced this week, making it increasingly likely that Mac Jones will get his fourth start. Jones has been more than serviceable, winning all three of his starts and looking rejuvenated in Kyle Shanahan's system. 

He'll be leaning heavily on Christian McCaffrey, who has been a reception machine. While his rushing average is down, "Catch CMC" is on pace to shatter receiving records for a running back. The offense will also get a boost from the return of wideout Jauan Jennings, who was back at practice after dealing with ankle and rib issues.

For the Buccaneers, the injury report is even more concerning, especially on offense. Star receivers Mike Evans (hamstring) and Chris Godwin (fibula), along with running back Bucky Irving (foot/shoulder), all missed practice time this week, and Godwin and Irving are confirmed out on Sunday. 

The good news for Tampa is the sensational play of rookie receiver Emeka Egbuka. The first-rounder out of Ohio State has been a revelation, racking up 445 yards and five touchdowns in five games. With Evans and Godwin hurting, look for quarterback Baker Mayfield to target Egbuka early and often. On the ground, Rachaad White will continue to carry the load in Irving's absence. 

Despite the injuries, the Bucs are a 3-point favorite at home in what promises to be a gritty, hard-fought contest between two of the NFC's top teams. With all the injuries, though, it might be tough to see a lot of points on the board.
