Pittsburgh Steelers Vs. Baltimore Ravens NFL Betting Predictions, Picks and Parlays

The Frozen North Showdown: Steelers' D-Line Is a Sieve

This is a tight one, an AFC North clash that means everything for both the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Baltimore Ravens. Forget everything else, this is for the division lead. Both teams are sitting at 6-6, and with the playoffs in sight, this game isn't just a rivalry, it's a gut check, especially after what went down last week.

The Steelers got absolutely trucked by the Bills, especially against the run. That's the huge, glaring, massive problem. And head coach Mike Tomlin just confirmed that rookie defensive lineman Derrick Harmon, one of their best run stuffers, will be out again with a knee injury. That's two straight games without him. You saw what happened last Sunday—249 rushing yards allowed. Historically, without Harmon, their run defense is cooked, giving up nearly twice as many yards per game as when he's out there.

The Ravens, even after a sloppy loss to the Bengals, have been trying to make the ground game a priority, with John Harbaugh openly saying they're a "running team." The problem is, they didn't commit to Derrick Henry last week, giving him only 10 carries, even though he was averaging six yards a pop. They know they need to get back to that smashmouth philosophy, and Pittsburgh's banged-up front seven is a golden ticket to do exactly that.

Meanwhile, Pittsburgh's offense looks like a sputtering jalopy. Aaron Rodgers and the passing game are just... flat. The stats from an NFL analyst are grim: zero completed downfield passes in the last 36 days, 0-for-13 on 20+ yard throws in the last five games with three interceptions. That is not going to scare anyone, let alone a Ravens defense that knows this rivalry better than anyone. Baltimore DC Zach Orr has to be licking his chops, planning to scheme up quick passes for Lamar Jackson and daring Rodgers to beat them deep, knowing the Steelers have to keep it on the ground because they're bleeding rushing yards, but their own running game is also pretty pedestrian.

Betting Picks & Predictions

The Baltimore Ravens are sitting as 6-point favorites, and you can see why. The Steelers' run defense issue, plus that non-existent deep passing game, feels like a recipe for a bad loss, especially on the road. The moneyline for the Ravens is steep at around -290, while Pittsburgh is a tempting dog at +235, but that injury news on Harmon is really what pushes this toward Baltimore.

Their coaching staff is going to see those run defense stats and hammer the ball with Henry, setting up play-action for Lamar. I think the Ravens cover this one, comfortably. The total is set at 42.5-43, which seems low given the rivalry history, but with Pittsburgh's offense struggling this much, I'd lean toward the under, unless Henry absolutely goes off. Prediction: Baltimore wins, 24-13.
