Los Angeles Lakers vs. Portland Trail Blazers Picks and Parlay Predictions 11/3/2025

Luka's Lake Show: The AD and LeBron Question Marks Loom Over Portland

The Lakers are in Portland tonight, at the Moda Center, as the Lakers carry their three-game win streak—and a whole lot of drama—with them. Now, what’s the most interesting thing happening in Laker Nation, as far as the overall record isn’t, is what’s not happening on the court: LeBron James is officially OUT with "sciatica," Deandre Ayton is on the injured list with a back problem.

But this is the crazy part: Luka Doncic is basically a god on the court as of today, dishing out triple doubles like they’re candy and scoring a mind-boggling 40+ a night. I mean, the guy is carrying a historic workload, not to mention a supporting cast that is having a field day in their new element. Austin Reaves is doing his thing, becoming a certified No. 2 option in his own rite with scores in the 30+ range every night. This revamped roster of the Lakers, in spite of the injured old warriors, is swift, exciting to watch, and as of today, pretty darn good.

They’re lining up against a Portland Trail Blazers team that is unexpectedly performing well, coming in second in the division. At the same time, the Blazers are riding a three-game win streak, and a new pace that is making them a whole lot of fun to watch.

They’re getting elite production from guys like Deni Avdija, who is putting up big-time scoring numbers, and their new big man, Donovan Clingan, is dominating the glass. And get this: Portland’s own star, Shaedon Sharpe, is listed as probable to play despite a minor calf issue, which is a massive boost to their wing scoring.

The matchup tonight is going to be a track meet, with both teams pushing the pace. The Lakers have the MVP-level firepower in Luka, but Portland’s size advantage with Clingan and their overall team health might actually give them the edge at home. It’s a classic youth-versus-superstar showdown, and with LeBron sitting, this becomes less of a guaranteed W for the Lake Show and more of a toss-up where the role players, like Rui Hachimura and Jrue Holiday, are going to have to decide the outcome. You just know this one is going down to the wire.

Oddsmakers might see that, too, which is why the Trail Blazers are only getting 3 points on the spread. Portland is 5-1 ATS so far and the Lakers are 5-2. They also ran in similar fashion last year, finishing 46-35-1 and 46-39-2, respectively.
