Los Angeles Clippers Vs. Atlanta Hawks NBA Betting Predictions, Picks and Parlays for December 3rd 2025

ATL Gets a Much-Needed W... Right?

The Los Angeles Clippers roll into State Farm Arena to take on the Atlanta Hawks, but honestly, this matchup feels less like a battle of two NBA teams and more like a triage unit facing off against a five-alarm fire. I mean, the injury reports for both sides? Woof. It’s brutal. Let’s start with the Hawks—they’re trying to keep their head above water in the East but suddenly lost their star, Trae Young, to a knee issue. You can't just replace that kind of electric play. Plus, Kristaps Porzingis is out with an illness, and Jacob Toppin is nursing a shoulder. It’s a lot of key rotational guys watching from the sidelines.

But the Clippers, man, they are a train wreck. Remember that whole super-team vibe they were selling? Yeah, that's done. Bradley Beal is done for the season with a hip injury. Like, for the season. Bogdan Bogdanovic and Derrick Jones Jr. are out too, and Jordan Miller is questionable with a hammy. They are riding a brutal five-game losing streak right now, which is just embarrassing for a team with James Harden, Kawhi Leonard, and Ivica Zubac.

Making matters worse, Chris Paul was told to pound sand ahead of the game and was sent home. The old guard is just done in LA, and it feels very real when you see them playing this flat. James Harden is still putting up big numbers, a top-15 scorer, but the team's overall offense is just bad, ranked 26th in the league. They aren't shooting great from deep, and they're getting hammered on the boards.

If the Clippers can't figure out how to win with the healthy talent they have, even against a hobbled Atlanta squad, someone is getting fired. The Hawks, meanwhile, have seen guys step up. Jalen Johnson is putting up monster numbers, averaging a double-double with points and boards, plus he's dishing dimes. Nickeil Alexander-Walker is splashing threes. They are finding a way, somehow, to a 13-9 record.

Betting Picks & Predictions

The oddsmakers are leaning Atlanta's way, which makes sense considering the Clippers' current skid and general malaise, even though the line has shifted slightly. The Hawks are favored by 3 1/2 points, which is a solid nod to their home court advantage and the fact that the Clippers are spiraling. Atlanta has been decent against the spread lately, covering in three straight, but they are surprisingly bad at covering at home.

The total is sitting around 229.5 points. Both teams' recent games have been hitting the over, and even with the injuries, Atlanta’s offense is designed to run. Given the state of the Clippers’ defense (22nd in the league), I think Atlanta will push the pace and the young guys like Johnson and Okongwu will carry them. Prediction: Hawks by -3.5 as the losing streak ends for LA, but the losses don't stop.
