Boston Celtics vs. Milwaukee Bucks NBA Betting Predictions, Picks and Parlays for December 11th, 2025

Celtics Go Ice-Cold Hunting a Giannis-less Bucks Squad

The Boston Celtics and Milwaukee Bucks rivalry is hitting a major snag tonight, basically turning this Eastern Conference heavyweight bout into a mismatch thanks to some seriously bad injury luck in Milwaukee. I mean, the Celtics are sitting pretty at the number two spot in the Power Rankings, they’ve won five straight, and their main guys are all locked and loaded. Jaylen Brown is dropping almost 30 a night (29.1 PPG), Derrick White is filling up the stat sheet everywhere, and even Payton Pritchard has stepped up as a reliable third scorer. The only long-term absence is Jayson Tatum with that Achilles repair from the playoffs last year, which hurts, sure, but they’ve adjusted.

The Bucks? They are in straight-up panic mode. The biggest, nastiest problem is Giannis Antetokounmpo being out indefinitely with a right calf strain; news reports suggest he won't be back until late December, and honestly, the Bucks have been totally lost without him. They’ve dropped 10 of their last 12 games, their championship hopes are starting to look seriously shaky, and now rumors about Giannis's future, including him possibly considering the Mavs or Heat back in 2020, are bubbling up again.

This just adds a layer of soap-opera drama to what should be a straightforward effort to win some games. Guys like Kevin Porter Jr. and Ryan Rollins have been forced to take on massive scoring roles—Porter has actually been phenomenal, putting up 26.0 PPG recently—but you can't replace the Greek Freak. Taurean Prince is also out long-term with neck surgery, so the depth at forward is nonexistent. Without Giannis, their defense is Swiss cheese, and the Celtics are masters at exploiting that kind of interior vulnerability.

Betting Picks & Predictions

Boston, naturally, is a massive favorite here. They were previously listed as 9-point favorites, but the consensus nba wagering line seems to have settled between 7.5 and 9 points, reflecting the general consensus that a Giannis-less Bucks team is just not ready for a top-tier contender. The total is around 226.5. Given the way Milwaukee's defense collapses without their anchor, and how well Boston’s stars are playing, especially Jaylen Brown, it’s hard to imagine the Bucks being able to stop the bleeding, even at home.

Kevin Porter Jr. will get his points, but the Celtics' deep attack is going to be relentless. This line is high, but Boston's track record against the Bucks, winning seven of the last ten matchups, makes them a safe bet. Prediction: Celtics to cover the spread and win by double digits.
